GEAR UP Students Learn Financial Responsibility
As February was National College Awareness Month, the Palomar College GEAR UP Partnership Program sponsored a Job-Shadow Day at the San Marcos Point Loma Credit Union. Students from San Marcos High School received a packet on how to prepare financial aid for college and had small group Q/A on how banks operate. The tour guide was Adriana Brunner - Business Development Manager, she explained the many different jobs available and how college classes prepare for a career in banking.
