New and existing businesses receive ribbon cutting photo opportunities and community wide exposure for grand openings, ground-breaking ceremonies or special anniversaries.

The San Marcos Chamber of Commerce provides an array of networking opportunities. Opportunities include: Chamber Mixers, an Annual Installation Gala, The Grand Spring/Summer Festivals, and various committees in addition to forums, seminars, and general networking.
Joining a committee is the best way to become involved with the Chamber and the San Marcos business community. You will meet other Chamber members immediately, interact and network with them. - Member Appreciation Event
The Chamber offers a yearly event usually held in November.
Hosted by different member businesses on the 4th Thursday of each month from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Mixers provide an excellent opportunity for members and prospective members to exchange ideas and business cards in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, with food and prizes.
With over 400 business members, the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce is a strong voice and public information and reference tool in the business and local community.
The Chamber has a list of phone numbers to assist with City permits, codes, and make referrals to business assistance centers.
- Legislative Advocacy & Updates
The Chamber studies city, county, state, and federal issues that may impact members’ businesses. Members are kept up-to-date on business legislation and regulations with articles in the Business Update, special meetings, seminars, and forums. The Government Affairs committee invites guest speakers and sponsors public forums to educate the community, introduce candidates for public office or debate community issues.
Special Events annually raise non-dues revenue for the Chamber to expand and amplify services to our members. These events bring additional business to our community, honor outstanding achievements of businesspeople and promote member businesses and organizations. Our Grand Summer Festival and Grand Spring Festival are events that draw over 25,000 visitors. The Ambassadors are the public relations component at ribbon cuttings, mixers and community events.

Held annually, this event offers members an opportunity to meet other members, retiring officers and to welcome incoming officers.
