Chambers of Commerce
North San Diego County Chambers of Commerce: The following organizations are local business membership associations which function as trade groups organized to protect, promote and enhance the interests of business in their respective communities. Wikipedia states “Chambers of commerce in the United States can be considered community, city, regional, state, or nationwide. City Chambers work on the local level to bring the business community together to develop strong local networks, which can result in a business-to-business exchange. In most cases, city Chambers work with their local government, such as their mayor, their city council and local representatives to develop pro-business initiatives.” This is indeed true of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce which works closely with its local city government and elected officials including the Mayor and City Council, as well as with government, elected officials and partners providing services and representation in North County San Diego, such as: Innovate 78 and San Diego County.
